We decided to try out a pizza place last night. Pizza Perfect in Hillsboro Village on 21st. Very good.
It was in a cool part of town with lots of shops to look at. Earlier, before we decided to go get pizza, Ross had told me about these homemade popsicles in Nashville called Las Paletas. We were planning to go get one after dinner at a stand by our house, but realized that they were closed on Monday. That's when we decided to forego making our own dinner and get out for some pizza. Then as we're walking and window shopping after dinner, we walked by a cute little shop called Hot and Cold. It's a coffee shop and an ice cream shop. So clever of them. They had the popsicles. Yay! We all partook and loved them.
They are billed as Mexican-style-ice-pops. They have fruit pops and creamy pops.
Here are the flavors we tried:
Naomi got Berry Cream which was fresh blueberries and strawberries mixed with a hint of vanilla.
I got Mint Chocolate Chip which was smooth chocolate with chunks of dark chocolate and mint pieces.
Jude got Pineapple which was really icy and cold with chunks of fresh pineapple throughout.
Ross had Butter Pecan with big pieces of pecans.
Sam had Strawberry and you could see little seeds and pieces of strawberries in it.
Some of the other flavors were Spicy Chocolate, Avacado, and Watermelon. They all looked so delicious, that I wanted a sample of all of them. Maybe I can add "Try every flavor of Las Paletas" to my summer list?
I didn't have my camera with me. What was I thinking? I had to take some crummy photos with my phone to document these delicious treats. I am pretty sure we'll be back to 21st St. and then I can take some
proper pictures.
Berry Creamy-licious.
Pineapple face.
Jude double-dipping with his pineapple and my mint chocolate chip.
