It's like riding a bike...

I am one proud mommy tonight. Jude rode a bike without training wheels for the first time ever!
I know that people say that once you ride a bike, you never forget. But the part they don't mention is how hard it is to get to the point of being able to ride a bike.

Jude started riding a regular sized bike (with training wheels) pretty young at 2 years old. Becuase he is so big, he was able to reach the pedals. He did so well that I thought he would be riding without the training wheels by 3. But then one of his training wheels got smashed and he quit riding the bike for a long time. He then got addicted to his Razor Scooter and had no interest in bikes at all for almost 2 years. I brought his old bike along this summer hoping to reignite his interest. It worked except that his old bike is kind of a piece of junk. So he started riding Sadie's princess bike with training wheels and got pretty good.

Tonight he decided to give Ella's bike a try. I wasn't even there for it, but Ross and Sam ran  in yelling excitedly that Jude was riding the bike. I ran outside and there he was flying down the road, shirtless and shoeless on a pink and purple bike. That is so classic. I am so proud of my sweet, brave boy.
