We met a friend there, a girl I grew up with, who works here in Nashville as a nanny. It was really good to see Erika and meet Ella and Fletcher.
As we were driving home, I had to stop by the bike shop to get a tire fixed. As I am standing in the shop, the rain starts coming down. It was one of those rainstorms where you can hardly see 2 feet in front of you. I had to stand out in the rain trying to get the bike back on the bike trailer for about 5 minutes. I was as wet as if I'd taken a shower. We had to drive about 30 miles an hour the whole way home. I saw lightning strike really close to us and all the stop lights went out.
Later, after we were settled in and dry, the storm got worse. Ross was headed home and it started hailing. At one point, the hail was about golf ball sized. The kids were pretty excited by the hail, and later after things calmed down, we were able to go out and play in the puddles.
