We always have at least one, and usually only one, snow day here in BCS. I love seeing our home and yard and kids covered in snow. On this particular day Sam woke up very early before any of us, unpacked the suitcases that I had already packed for our Colorado ski trip, got dressed, and went out to play by himself. As luck would have it, by the time the rest of us could get up and around and covered from head to toe in clothing, he was freezing and ready to come in. I did manage to find a small window later that morning when all three kids wanted to be outside at the same time, but these Texas kids can only handle the cold in small doses. They would play for about 15-20 minutes and then come to the door, take off all the clothes in about 15 seconds (the clothes that took me 15 minutes to get on them), and ask for hot chocolate. I, like the kids, only like the cold in small doses, primarily because of the ordeal of getting all them dressed. Sheesh. It takes forever. All those little fingers trying to fit into those tiny little gloves, the socks, the boots, the hats and scarves and various zippers. Give me a bathing suit and flip-flops. That only takes about 10 seconds per kid. Spray on some sunscreen and you're done in less than a minute. The snow does make for some pretty cute pictures though.
Naomi did not like the snow at all. She was very upset by it.
I love this picture of Jude launching a snowball at Sam.
