One Giant Re-cap

As I think back over the past year, it feels like my life was on fast-forward. And when life moves at that pace (thankfully not all the time), how does one who is an internal processer take time to blog? It just doesn't happen which I think is pretty obvious by the infrequency with which I've posted over the past year. It's not because there has been a lack of things to share. So, here is my giant re-wind, specifically July through December which had quite a bit crammed into them.

In early July, Ross went to Haiti with some people from our church. He fell in love with the people and ministry going on there. In light of the recent earthquake, it has been so good to have a pre-existing relationship with people who are among the Haitians doing the hard relief work. (http://www.heartlineminstries.org/)

That next week we put an offer on a new/old house.

In early August, we went to Colorado with my family for 3 weeks and enjoyed playing in the river, hiking, doing a 33 (mostly downhill) bike ride, and enjoying the escape from the relentless Texas heat.

A week after we got home, we closed on our new/old house. This is a long story, which I will save for another time but it was a whirlwind. 3 days later, we went to Com Church camp.
The 1st week of September, we went to Tyler to finalize Naomi's adoption!!
A few weeks later, we told her story and had her dedication at church

Started homeschooling. (no pictures, seriously)

Continued with much work on new house.

Sam turned 6 on September 25. Naomi turned 1 on October 14.
Kids sing and talk on Ross' new CD.

Went to
Disney World with my family. 9 adults and 7 kids. Crazy.

Ross and I celebrated 11 years of marriage while there. We had a very fun date. Aerosmith Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios and dinner at the House of Blues.

Jude turns 3 on October 25.

Moving Day: November 14. A happy and sad day for me.Thanksgiving with the King family.Got sick for a whole month after all this. (I'll spare you the photo.)

Sam had a speaking part and played the drum in our church play.

Released Words that Rhyme with Orange.

Had our first Christmas in our new house and a White Christmas with my family in Arlington.

Done.

wow it's crazy that I knew all these things happened but at the same time it was neat to see a timeline of everything.
